    Wednesday 2nd September 2026 The paper mill was badly damaged by fire and is the subject of significant restoration. Our "hard hat" tour will cover the history of the building, how paper is made and a demonstration of paper making. It is near Hemel Hempstead and we will be making our own way there.   • Thames River Police
    Tuesday 6th October and Thursday 15th October 2026 We will visit the Police Museum and see the base for the Thames Police in Wapping. We will be travelling by Elizabeth Line and the Windrush Line to arrive for an 11:30 start. The cost is £6.30 which will cover a suitable donation to the museum.     Thursday 19th November 2026 Discover for yourself the secrets of the laboratory in which Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin in 1928. An in-situ reconstruction of the laboratory, displays and a video uncover the remarkable story of how a chance discovery became a lifesaving drug destined to revolutionise medicine.
