Monthly Meetings
Our monthly meetings are held at 2.15pm on the fourth Thursday of the month at Eagle Hall, The Drive, Warley, Brentwood.
Find out more
The speakers at our meetings cover a wide variety of subjects.
Maria, our speaker secretary, welcomes suggestions from members.
After an engaging talk, there is a chance to meet and chat with fellow members over a cup of tea/coffee.
Our second hand book and jigsaw stall is popular and donations swell the coffers of our "Charity of the Year".
Prospective members are very welcome to join us - we don't make any charge for your first couple of meetings.

Interest Groups
Interest Groups are fundamental to the u3a movement. Members come together to share, learn and laugh with like minded individuals. Groups may be as small as 4 or 5 people "keeping up" a foreign language in someone's front room or 20 or more enjoying a trip to the West End Theatre.

Other Events
Throughout the year there are a number of other events that are open to all members.
Whilst our summer garden party and Christmas lunch are fixed items in the calendar, past events have included: Murder Mystery evening, canal boat trip, visits to Ingatestone Hall, EHAAT Centre at North Weald and St Brides Church and Crypt.

Governance
Warley u3a is a peer led organisation and so all members are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the charity - whether that be serving on the Committee, leading an Interest Group or simply serving coffee at the monthly meetings.

The Bigger Picture
Warley u3a is a member of the Third Age Trust, the umbrella body for all u3as in the country.
