Monthly, fourth Wednesday morning

Would you like to come along to a shorter walking group with other u3a members usually for 2-2.5 miles?  We started in response to people asking for a shorter version of the other walking group that walked for 3-4 miles. Our group walks in parks within the Brentwood and Havering areas with some visits to other parks such as Chelmsford and Rayleigh.  The parks have a combination of paved paths and accessible woodlands but can be undulating. The group often chooses where to go next or gives valuable suggestions for new parks to visit.

There are approximately 10-15 people at each walk and the fitness levels and speed varies but it will walk as fast as the slowest person so that all can enjoy the walk. 

Costs include appropriate clothing and footwear, ie wet weather jacket and walking shoes are recommended and of course a drink and lunch at the end in the park cafe if wanted but not compulsory.

Come and join us to try it out whilst getting to know more people  in the u3a. We meet monthly and the walk and lunch usually lasts for 2-3 hours.
