Second and fourth Tuesday mornings.

The conductor weaves
A texture for all to hear
Musical magic .
Breakfast in a pub
Haiku folk know how to live
Food for thoughts. Just right!
Haiku (Poetry) in its traditional form originated in Japan and the first and last lines have 5 syllables and the middle (second line) has seven syllables so they are very short!
If you would like to try writing Haiku, this could be the group for you. We meet on a fortnightly basis on a Tuesday morning in a local pub for breakfast (those who want to) and afterwards we discuss the Haiku that we have written and agree a theme/s to be worked on for the next meeting.
This group is not intended to be a teaching group, just a forum for being creative with words. We listen to each other’s efforts and chat. Themes are chosen by the group and are not slavishly adhered to. Recent themes have included: Solitude, A Spirit of Adventure, Texture of Sound, Boating, Insomnia, Food likes and Dislikes.
The success of this Group means that we will now be starting a waiting list of people wanting to join us - perhaps you're the person who could be the catalyst and co-ordinate a second group for which help would be provided.
