Using both readily available self-guided walks and members’ own knowledge, coupled with a little bit of “let’s try it and see!” the Group aims to understand and appreciate better the history, culture, curiosities and hidden gems of this wonderful city.

Explorations generally cover between 2-4 miles, taking 2-3 hrs

The start and end of the Explorations are at TfL stations and we meet between 10.30am and 11am (the exact time fits with catching the 9.37am train from Brentwood Station!).

After the Exploration some members find an outlet for a late lunch, others choose coffee and cake whilst some make their way straight home.

There is an annual charge of £12 to cover the cost of the leaders' recces.
