Housed in an old workhouse near Elephant and Castle is a museum dedicated to the Cinema. With posters, signs, doors (yes they have many sets), seats, projectors, books and, of course, films, this is a fascinating look back to one's youth.
Who remembers going to Saturday film club, the Pearl and Dean theme music, those dreadful local adverts where the same dreary voice intoned them all and the only customisation was the company name on the last slide?
And then of course there was that advert for Kia-ora with the silhouette of the projectionist, Eric, who does not have time to get a drink and is hot and thirsty, until he reaches out and takes the cup of orange from the advert.

It was a true trip down memory lane with lots of interesting momentoes, some great reminders of the silver screen and a very interesting history.
