The Drawing Group recently visited 'Theatre Picasso' at Tate Modern. We really enjoyed the theatrical layout of the exhibition which was designed to give the viewer an insight into Picasso's work for the stage and showing how a painting evolves from the drawing stages to the finished work. The exhibition also included many wonderful drawings and famous paintings, from the Tate's collection, such as 'Woman Crying' and 'The Three Dancers.'
After a good lunch at the Salvation Army Headquarters, near St Paul's Cathedral, where we discussed our latest project to be shown at the Art Trail in June, we caught the train home, full of enthusiasm and ideas for the coming months. An unforgettable day full of laughter, learning and friendship.
